Donut Cheeseburger with Bacon
Ingredients for the Burger
- 140 g ground beef (15-20% fat)
- 40 g grated onion
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & pepper
- 2 crispy bacon slices
- Grated cheddar cheese
Ingredients for the Donut
- 90 ml water (room temperature)
- 150 ml milk (room temperature)
- 1 beaten egg
- 60 g melted butter
- 460 g all-purpose flour
- 60 g sugar
- 5 g dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
Preparation
For the Burger
Mix all ingredients with the beef in a bowl.
Shape into a patty and grill to your desired doneness.
Add cheddar cheese on top and let it melt.
For the Donut
In a mixer bowl, combine all liquids, salt, and sugar.
Sift the flour and mix in the yeast. Add to the mixer and knead into a soft dough.
Cover and let the dough double in size.
Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thickness and cut into donut shapes.
Place on a baking sheet with parchment paper and let them rise in a warm, humid environment.
Heat vegetable oil in a wide pot and fry the donuts on both sides until golden.
Assembly
Slice the donut horizontally in half.
Fill with the burger patty and crispy bacon.
Serve immediately.
