Cabbage with Country Style Trikala Sausages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>225g Trikala sausage, chopped<br \/>\n\u25cf 3 tbsp butter<br \/>\n\u25cf 1 small cabbage, shredded<br \/>\n\u25cf \u00bd cup onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n\u25cf 400g chopped tomatoes<br \/>\n\u25cf \u00bc tsp garlic powder<br \/>\n\u25cf Salt, to taste<br \/>\n\u25cf Freshly ground black pepper, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a large non-stick pan, cook the sausage for 3 minutes to release some of its fat.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the sausage from the pan and transfer it to a paper towel to absorb the excess fat.<\/p>\n<p>Clean the fat from the pan.<\/p>\n<p>In the same pan, melt the butter.<\/p>\n<p>Add the cabbage and onion and cook over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, until the cabbage starts to wilt.<\/p>\n<p>Add the tomatoes, garlic powder, sausage, and season with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p>Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the lid and continue cooking until the cabbage softens and the liquid is absorbed.<\/p>\n<p>A recipe by Dimitris Skarmoutsos from <a
