Peinirli with Country Style Pork Sausages with Oregano
Ingredients:
- 3 Paderis’ Country Style Pork Sausages with Oregano
- 390g peinirli dough
- 120g grated kasseri cheese
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Bukovo
- Fresh thyme
Method:
Roll out a piece of dough into a thin oval sheet using a rolling pin.
Fold the two longer edges inwards and pinch the ends together to form a boat shape.
Repeat the process two more times with the remaining dough.
Grease a baking tray with 2 tbsp olive oil and place the peinirli on top.
Add 40g of grated kasseri cheese in the center of each peinirli and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
Preparing the Sausages:
Score 2 Paderis oregano sausages and cut the third one into equal pieces.
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a pan and sear the sausages for about 2 minutes on each side
Assembly & Serving:
Remove the peinirli from the oven and place the sausages on top.
Sprinkle with bukovo, drizzle with lemon juice, add fresh thyme, and serve immediately.
